Beth McLenaghan:On the return to this business, I had none of the same light-headedness I'd experienced the first time around. In the upper corner (private) dining room, I experienced a hair-on-the-nape-of-my-neck feeling of general creepiness, during which I asked Hugh to take a photo, and when he did there was an orb in it. Concurrently, EMF and temperature readers recorded some anomalies, which is always interesting. Perhaps the most interesting aspect of the investigations of this business, is that I got orb photos in exactly the same location, both investigations using my digital camera.
Hugh McLenaghan:This was our second visit here. This time we were investigating the upper part of the business. I didn't feel or see anything strange during the investigation. I also didn't get anything on video or audio.
Kelli Patrick:Equipment used: Cell Sensor EMF, laser thermometer, Sony Nightshot Video Camera, 35mm camera. While using the cell sensor and laser thermometer, I didn't get any abnormal readings. Nothing abnormal showed up on video or 35mm film. I placed my video camera in the large banquet room on the second floor. It was facing toward the back of the room. Everyone saw a "man" looking in the window in the smallest banquet room. We didn't get it on video, but we tried to recreate any possible reflections and couldn't. We can't explain that one. Nothing else happened to me. Great place to visit and eat!
Becky Ray:I love this place, and I love Union Station. The most amazing thing that happened was the appearance of the "face." We had been told before we started our investigation this night that a morning employee had been cleaning the windows in one of the banquet rooms and had seen a face looking back at her that was not hers. Therefore we had placed video cameras and monitors in that room facing those windows. During the investigation it was noticed on one of the monitors that what appeared to be a man's face was showing. At first I laughed it off, thinking I could go into the other room and find what was causing that illusion. I went into the banquet room and not only could not find anything to cause the illusion, but I could not see where the illusion was coming from. We repositioned other cameras, but the only place this face showed up was on the one particular black and white monitor. We spent 45 minutes trying to find the cause and could not find it or recreate it.
I also had an unexplainable EVP happen that night in a different banquet room.
Miranda Stark:Average EMF base readings of all rooms in the banquet hall stayed between ".1" and ".5" until I got to the right interior wall of the back room. There on the wall, were hanging three portraits, consisting of a large focus portrait and two smaller ones on either side of it. It was between the middle (large) portrait and the smaller one on the far end (near the back wall) where my EMF meter readings suddenly jumped to a "23.0" to "30.0" spike from the room's base reading. I inspected the opposite side of this wall and discovered numerous electrical appliances which were most likely the cause of the sudden spike. The readings of these appliances, themselves, reached into the "40" miligaus range. I happened to mention the incidental discovery of this high EMF zone to Beth, who then questioned the whereabouts of the spike readings in the banquet room, itself. I took her to the spot but explained that the cause was simply the appliances on the other side of the wall. She remarked that she found it odd, though, because during the first visit (investigation) to *this location two weeks earlier she had gotten a bright white orb on that wall in the very place where these spikes occurred near these portaits. Just out of sheer curiosity I took a photo of the same location, and got nothing out of the ordinary. Then Hugh took a photo of the same area with his digital camera, and lo and behold, a bright white orb in very nearly the same place where Beth's had appeared previously. I continued to photograph the area, and one of the shots depicts an "orb" of similar size, color, and density to the ones Beth and Hugh had both captured, though mine was further down the same wall, and more in the corner as if it had moved from the specific place where Hugh had just captured his moments before. Another photo of both Hugh and Beth in this area shows a very transparent orb hovering in the upper right corner of the ceiling. Three ideas were suggested at this point by everyone else on the investigation team. One, perhaps it was merely moisture/humidity causing these spots to appear in the photographs. A humidity guage placed in this area showed only a 1% increase in humidity from the rest of the banquet hall rooms. Two, the high electrical discharge from the appliances on the other side perhaps caused these "orbs", but six or seven consecutive snapshots of the opposite side of the wall, including the appliances themselves, showed no orbs or nothing anamolous to consider. In addition to this, it is unknown whether electrical sources can be responsible for the appearance of "orbs". Three, the high EMF energies here in this area of the banquet hall could be a magnet, or attraction for "other" energies, which may perhaps collect here. The origin of these energies has yet to be concluded as "paranormal", though it may be a possibility when coupled with the reports of sightings, and other types of activity in this area of the restaraunt.
