Investigators Notes
Jennifer Sprague, Lead Investigator: On this investigation, we had me, Julie, Tania, and Becky. We started off with a tour from the volunteers of the Majors House and they gave us a brief history of the property as well as a presentation of the different areas of reported activity.
After the tour, we started off on the top floor and did an EVP session. We did not capture anything during that time, however, we did have an occurrence in the top bedroom on the far right. We had a REMpod that belongs to Julie that kept going off in various areas around the front part of the bed. I tried to figure out what could be causing it to go off. I tried moving it in different areas and testing for anything that could make it react the way it did. I found it interesting that it kept going off in the same spot when I moved it myself. I am not sure if that is paranormal, I think there could be a logical explanation. We have shared the video and welcome any thoughts or feedback.
We also had an occurrence with one of the lights going off and then back on as well in that room, but we did not capture any EVPs. We then moved to the child’s room and heard some various noises that we could not explain which sounded like some odd creaks, but nothing definite. We did not capture any EVPs during that time.
We then moved downstairs and conducted an experiment on the stairs where reported activity had occurred. We set up a light grid on the stairs to capture any shadow movement and we also set up the REMpod on the stairs as well as two cameras at the top of the stairs to capture any motion or movement that we could not see. We also did an EVP session during this time and we did not capture anything on the stairs.
We then concluded the inside investigation of the Majors House in the kitchen and downstairs area. During the EVP session in the kitchen, we did capture a possible EVP of a male voice. There was one more possible EVP captured but it was too faint to post.
We then moved to the outside grounds and investigated the “Blacksmith Shop.” We did an EVP session in this room which held items from the time and we did not capture anything.
This concluded our investigation of the Majors House and we would like to go back in the future and investigate again. We would like to thank the volunteers and those affiliated with the Majors House for their hospitality and kindness and we hope to see them again soon.
