Location History
In continuing our experiments into techniques and gadgets used by other paranormal researchers, Bryan suggested we give the "Devil's Toy Box" a try.
Joshua P. Warren first discussed this paranormal gadget on Coast to Coast AM with George Noory. According to Mr. Warren by taking six mirrors and facing them inwards to make a box, it will cause a back and forth energy loop. Allegedly after some time you could be hearing strange noises coming from the cube. Mr. Warren claims to hear growling and other weird noises have been reported coming from the mirror box.
Investigators Notes
Becky Ray:On our second experiment with this device I was surprised to see that we were in fact getting EVPs from it. Were these EVPs caused by the box or amplified by the box or pure coincidence? I'm still unsure and will continue to experiment with this in the future as time allows.
Jennifer Sprague:Our second experiment was more interesting than the first. It did seem we may have been getting some sounds and possible EVPS, however, the box itself is not able to shut out all sound at 100%, so I don't think we can say for certain that what we got was evidence of any "spirit" trapped in the box and not some outside noise contamination. However, there were some interesting noises that were recorded. I do think there are some flaws in Warren's idea. The main one being that there is no light source in a closed and sealed box so the idea that a "spirit" will get trapped in a box with mirrors and get confused on how to get out is stretching it a little. You must have a light source to see a reflection. However, nobody has given any proof on how "spirits" see anything, so I guess that is open for debate. I'd like to try this again, but look for a way to really seal the box more securely, so that we are for certain no outside contaminating noises can be mistaken for EVPS. This may be interesting to somehow combine with our Bell Jar experiment if we can work out the details.
