Location History
Established neighoborhood in Blue Springs,MO house built in the late 60's to early 70's. 2nd homeowner to live in house. Prior family was said to be very private they had a boy and girl who lived there prior. Neighbors described them as being very quiet and not seen. A typical 3 bedrom 2 bath raised ranch home. The man of the house contacted us to investigate after the lady of the house and son described to him of certain things happening when he was not in the house or on business trip. The man of the house has only had one incident in the house and that was hearing footsteps in the hallway when no one else was around. The history of the current owners is that a relative did pass away in the home several years prior. The lady of the house and son feel as if he is still there with them. The lady of the house and son have witnessed; Shadows, hearing footsteps, dishes breaking but nothing broke, hearing the dishes move around, noises in the closet, scratching on the ceiling, hearing a little girls voice in the spare bedroom, and hearing little footsteps above the spare bedroom.

Angela Hodge:Thank you again for having us to your place to investigate. We had the KC Star tag along to do a story with us. We were to have another TV crew come also but they did not make it at the last minute. When we did our walk-thru of the home presented by the man of the house. He did explain to us that stuff never happens when he is around, the lady of the house was ill so she was not present at the time. We were shown the kitchen at first and he mentions this where there son saw a dark shadow near the dining room that had no eye's and opened its mouth wide open in front of him. We were then taken to the basement where he tells us that a lot of people don't like it down there, I admitly felt a little off in one area of the basement. I did not mention anything to the group about it yet but he then goes on describe that a lot of people won't sit downstairs with him very long and that a friend who slept down there felt uneasy through out the night. We then went upstairs and we were shown the spare bedroom where the person past away of a long term illiness. When walking in there the room felt good and actually lighter then the other rooms almost peaceful. We started the investigation downstairs in the basement and after going back down 3 times we have concluded that we don't believe it's paranormal or anything of spirits down stairs. There is only one spot in the basement that makes people feel off or gives you a headache of some sort and that is near the TV area which is near the furnace. We believe it has something to do with being near the furnace and it possible giving off something, but it does not feel to be paranormal. When we checked out the kitchen and sat in the living room trying to instigate anything to move the dishes or appear nothing happened nor did the room atmosphere change. Through out the whole time the house felt good and pleasant. If the owners were to request another visit i would recommend not having the male homeowner home and only having the female there with us to see if that brings anything out. Other then that it was a pleasant night. If I lived there I would not feel uneasy living there. Thanks to the KC Star for being very respectful to the homeowner throughout the investigation.
Jennifer Sprague:First, I would like to thank the homeowners for their time and for allowing Angela and I to come and investigate their home. On this investigation I used an EMF detector, a 35 mm disposable camera, and a digital audio recorder. We started with a walk through of the home and noted the areas where some of the family members have claimed to have experienced paranormal activity. I started by doing an EMF sweep to get a base reading of these places and didnt notice anything out of the ordinary with the readings I was receiving. However, upon entering the basement the climate did seem to change compared to other areas of the house, Angel and I as well as the members from the Kansas City Star, noticed that the atmosphere felt heavier. And after awhile my head started to feel clogged, others noted similar sensations too, it is possible that the environment could have been a factor to these sensations, new carpet was laid, which does contain chemicals as well as other possible factors. We did an evp session down stairs and I am in the process of going over that audio and will post anything should I find something. Upstairs, the atmosphere felt much lighter, a shadow like appartion was reported to be seen in the kitchen so we focused on the many factors that could have caused it. Recreating the setting as it was when the shadow like figure was reported. Although we were not able to recreate exactly what was reported we were able to duplicate something similar. We also did another evp session upstairs as well. It was during this time that Angela thought that for a split second something touched her but wasnt for sure. It is interesting to note that most of the activity is reported when the male homeowner is not home, Id like maybe to go back in the future with perhaps him not present and with other members of the family there and see if that changes things. Im in the process of reviewing audio and will post that should I find anything.
