Question: How long have you lived here?
Answer: Since 1st April 2002, spouse since August 2002
Question: When did the phenomena start?
Answer: I didn't notice until August 2002, although I felt cool breezes move through the house from the front door inward.
Question: Any particular hour of the day or certain rooms?
Answer: Door slam sounds heard between 11 pm and 1 am
Question: Any visual apparitions?
Answer: Not really. Did see a shadow move across the wall in the bathroom once. Also, I have witnessed the basement door opening on its own.
Question: How do the visual apparitions appear?
Answer: Just a shadow.
Question: Have there been any movements of objects that you see?
Answer: When we were redoing the bathroom, we were using the old sink in the basement. A razor was set parallel to the sink. When I got out of the shower, it was lying across the sink. This happened twice.
Question: Any apports (things appearing out of nowhere)?
Answer: N/A
Question: Any teleportation (things moving from one place to another)?
Answer: N/A
Question: Any sounds?
Answer: Door slamming heard a lot. Sounds the same no matter which room you are in. Faint, as if in a different part of the house. Have also heard distant voices. Sounds like gibberish with four or five voices talking at once.

Answer: Sounds like gibberish
Question: Any cold spots?
Answer: Cool breezes that would pass through the house. One time, a cool breeze past through the living room wall to the outside. As soon as this happened, our two black labs started barking. They were staring at the side of the house.
Question: Any rushes of wind?
Answer: Just the breezes.
Question: Any touches or caresses?
Answer: One time in the kitchen. Felt a tug on the back of my shirt, turned to ask spouse what he wanted, but he was further away with his hands full of dishes.
Question: Any physical attacks?
Answer: No
Question: Any smells?
Answer: A lavender "old lady perfume" type smell.
Question: Any past investigations, priests or clergy?
Answer: No
Question: Any use of Ouija boards, seances, automatic writing, etc?
Answer: No
Question: Did previous occupants, neighbors or landlords know of phenomena?
Answer: Asked previous owner, and she said she never experienced anything. She also commented that no one had ever died VIOLENTLY here. Her husband died in 1998, but we do not know if he died in the house.
Question: How far back can you trace the history of the property?
Answer: Can trace the property records to 1857. Do have copies of the previous owners deeds.

The group had just started to interview the owners of the Northern Missouri House when this near quiet voice was recorded as saying "Dog."

The group was interviewing the owners of the house when this was recorded. The voice seems to say: Polish (though some respondents believe it's saying, Hush).

The group was still interviewing the house owners at the time of this clip. Member Bryan asked if the owners had seen strange things in pictures they had taken. One of the house owners spoke of such a picture when this voice was recorded as saying, "Hey...help."

Everyone moved into the kitchen at this point in the investigation, where the owners graciously fed the group. During this clip, one of the owners mentioned how she could make tea, coffee, or Kool-aid. Bryan said that he had brought some soda to the investigation but that it wasn't very cold. The other house owner mentioned how they had bought a bag of ice. You will hear Bryan opening a bag of chips when this EVP was recorded as saying, "I love you. Can we ride upstairs with you?" The first time you hear the EVP, the audio is in its original form. The second time some filtering is done, and the third time you hear the EVP, the clip is filtered and amplified.

Many thanks to website visitor Bill L. from Minnesota, who provided us with this version of the previous clip. It has been modified to remove more of the "metallic" background noise, so the voice is easier to understand. In this more precise version, it sounds more like the voice is saying, "I love you, though I shouldn't like you."
The group and house owners were still in the kitchen when both of these EVPs were recorded.

The group and the homeowners were heading towards the stairs to the basement. One of the homeowners asked the other if they had their flashlight (Maglight.) He responded that he didn't, and she said she would get it. Bryan then asks if it is safe to come down yet (because one of the homeowners had to go down to turn on a light). You will then hear an EVP say, "I'll Check Up On It."

Bryan decided to take the E.L.F. detector to the basement by himself. The rest of the group remained with the homeowners on the other side of the house. After walking around the basement, he started to head back upstairs. On his way back upstairs, a couple of E.V.P. were captured. To save on download time, the minute-long segment was cut in half to highlight each E.V.P. separately.

Here is the 2nd E.V.P. that was recorded as Bryan was walking upstairs from the basement. The rest of the group and the homeowners were on the other side of the house when this E.V.P. was recorded as saying, "Get Down" (or possibly Get Out).

After leaving the basement, Bryan walked over to the side of the house where the other group members were. He noticed that the video camera in the main hallway was off (A fully charged battery was in the video camera, and it had drained entirely). Bryan comments 'Beautiful' regarding the camera shutting off, followed by a faint male voice saying, "Mark it Straight."

After one of the homeowners described an incident in the bathroom, Bryan decided to go upstairs by himself. After walking upstairs, he headed towards the stairs to go back downstairs when this EVP was recorded.
