Location History

The Ray County Historical Society was established in the 1950’s. It became a large group of the community who wanted to not only preserve our history of Ray County, Missouri, but to educate the next generations of our past. In 1973, we found a home for our Ray County Museum. Built as a Poor farm in 1910, this stately Georgian, brick building was standing on its original 25 acres on a small bluff and looking out toward our town square. The County owned the building and willingly agreed to allow us to use this for our museum. from: http://www.raycountyhistoricalsociety.com

Investigators Notes

Becky Ray:Another wonderfully historic location, that I will return to as a tourist.
While not a lot of unexplainable things happened during our visit, several as-yet unexplained reports make this a place worthy of more investigation.
During our time there both Miranda and Bryan reported hearing female voices down the hallway. When Shawn went to check it out he found nothing, but one of the museum employees who was sitting outside on the porch reported seeing a woman dressed in white follow Shawn up the stairs.

    Wall Display - 10:05 PM

This did not happen while we were present, but we were told that this large and heavy display was found torn from the wall a few days prior to our arrival.
