Question: When did the phenomena start?
Answer: Started noticing it about three years ago.
Question: Any certain hour of the day or certain rooms?
Answer: No, could be at any time.
Question: Any visual apparations?
Answer: Yes
Question: How do the visual apparitions appear?
Answer: First time it was a dark silhouette on the couch in the lobby. The second time was this past June when a foggy apparition appeared in the rear salon area.
Question: Have there been any movements of objects that you see?
Answer: Yes, a bottle of hair spray flew across the room.
Question: Any sounds?
Answer: Noises, pounding on the walls and basement door. Voices have been heard.
Question: Any rappings or knockings?
Answer: Sounds as if someone is knocking on the basement door, other strange knockings.
Question: Any voices? What do they say?
Answer: Unclear
Question: Any cold spots?
Answer: Yes
Question: Any touches or caresses?
Answer: An electrician working in the basement was touched on the shoulder after hearing breathing.
Question: Any smells?
Answer: Unusual smells
Question: Any past investigations, priests or clergy?
Answer: No
Question: Did previous occupants, neighbors or landlords know of phenomena?
Answer: Unknown
Question: How far back can you trace the history of the property?
Answer: Originally a house when it was built 130 years ago. It has been other businesses including a watchmaker in 1920.
Question: Have there been any deaths or violent occurances in the the property?
Answer: Unknown
Investigators Notes
Kevin Glasow:Throughout the visit I was running both digital audio and using my digital camera to take photos. During the investigation our first experiences began in the basement of the building. On our first walkthough Tim [the manager] reported hearing the same knocking noise we heard on our first trip. When we actually tried doing some EVP downstairs we all had a few experiences. Jennifer reported then [and several other times throughout the night] feeling like something was playing with her hair. I heard a female voice throughout the night, hopefully audio will prove one way or another if this was one of the female team members. Also in the basement we heard several things moving above us, including very obvious footsteps in the lobby when no one was there. We had several other experiences on the first floor as well. Once again we heard noises on the floor above us [unfortinatly these were from the office that we do not have access to]. After asking the spirit to turn on one of the faucets for us [matching one of Tim's stories] we had several of the sinks begin to drip and then stop again on their own. I have reviewed my photos, and have not found anything odd on them. I will be reviewing my audio shortly and will post what I find.
Becky Ray:On this night I used a 35mm camera, thermometers, Cell Sensor, NightVision video, and my StealthCam.
Since our previous visit the location manager has done some research with the local historical society and discovered that the architect of the building was murdered under mysterious circumstances. Although the murder did not take place at this location, this is one of the few buildings left standing that this particular architect worked on
During this investigation we concentrated on the three areas of the buisness: the lobby, the styling area, and the basement. Although we did not get the responsive knocking we heard during our first investigation, several odd occurances did happen.
Around 7:40pm while we were setting up equipment in the basement the manager reported hearing knocking upstairs. Later in the night we tried to reproduce this sound by knocking things in the basement, but could not reproduce the same sounds.
At approximately 8:30pm while we were in the basement, we heard what clearly sounded like footsteps of a person walking directly above us in the lobby. No one was there, and these footsteps just stopped rather than walking out of the room. Jennifer reported having her hair tugged several times, which is similar to what happened to Sarah and Junior during our previous visit. The noises seemed to lead us around all night, as we'd hear a sound in one location - go to check it out - and then we'd hear sounds back where we just came from.
We went back to the styling area where we heard the responsive knocking on our first visit and did some EVP work. Occasionally we would hear a VERY faint knocking, but nothing like what we heard on our first visit. Around 9:20pm we heard what sounded like furniture being moved upstairs, which we could not explain as there was no one present in the business located there.
Something important to note, is that although both investigations took place on Friday nights, for some reason this was a very busy traffic night outside. This makes EVPs very difficult, if not impossible, to discern - but it also may have something to do with the activity of the building.
We are going to return after the first of the year, and I'm looking forward to it!
Jennifer Sprague:First, thanks so much to Salon Medusa for allowing us to come back and investigate such an interesting place! On this investigation I used a standard analog audio recorder. After doing base emf readings we started doing some evp work in the front lobby and then moved into the back area and did some more evp work there. Upon listening to my audio recording I did not seem to pick up any evps in these sessions, however, when we were down stairs doing an evp session, I kept feeling the sensation of my hair being pulled. Almost as if someone was just lightly playing with it. I also felt this sensation a couple of other times when we went back upstairs. I can not determine if this sensation was just my hair settling into place, or if it was indeed being tugged at. I thought this experience was interesting to note as it seemed to happen to some of the other members during the last visit. I also wanted to note that while we were down stairs, Becky, Kevin and I, all seemed to hear what seemed to be footsteps shuffling across the lobby upstairs. During this time there was absolutely nobody in the lobby. At one point I thought it could be coming from outside, or maybe a pipe settling or the foundation settling, but it was a very distinct noise and had a much longer duration than anybody that could be walking outside- it also was coming from right above us and traveling across from one point to another ..the noise was not coming from the street nor did it stay centered around where the street was. As far as it being a pipe settling or foundation, I believe the noise was much different than something having to do with the piping or foundation, and that more importantly the noise travelled from one area of the lobby to another. Upon analyzing it, I believe what I heard was distinct footsteps of somebody walking back and forth. At this point I have not come across any notable evps at this time, but am looking forward to going back and investigating again!

As we sat in the basement we kept hearing noises that sounded like a person walking overhead in the lobby.
Although the knocking sounds never got as constant or as loud as our previous visit, we did occasionally hear knocking in response to our questions as we attempted to obtain EVP.
