Investigators Notes
Angela Hodge:Sorry I’m a bit long winded but I don’t want to miss anything...... I would say for my first investigation with this team. It was cool, everyone was prepared with all the equipment they needed for the night. I brought my only item that I’ve obtained so far for an investigation a Cannon 310 digital camera and a handy dandy flashlight, I can’t wait to obtain more goodies. The only people from the group that came were Becky, Bryan, Hugh, Todd and myself and a friend of Todd’s Brian was there. I got to see Dousing rods in use for the 1st time in person, which Brian was using. Pretty cool thing to have if you know how to use them. When walking into the Catacombs we set up in the mirror room which is a maze. Todd took us on a kind of a tour and at the same time we started the investigation. The 1st room was the dining room. I didn’t see any activity or get any activity on the camera but what was strange was how you could feel a cold breeze in the room. As we were all talking and Brian was using the dousing rod, I did notice I felt dizzy and after we left the room I felt fine. I mentioned it to the group and Brian said he has felt like that prior in that room. Going thru the rest of the rooms throughout the Catacombs nothing really happened until we got to the 4th floor where I believe we all felt, or heard different types of activities. A lot of my pictures I took have dust in them, they look like Orbs but until we can really check them out I wouldn’t consider them anything of importance. A few times while we all gathered around each other sitting in the pitch dark silently and you could hear knocks or door shutting on other floors. On the same floor we decided to also see if anything could be moved so we laid down some scrabble letters in a square and put baby powder over them to see if they would either move or see anything afterwards happen to them. We took pictures before and during and after and no significant change that could be proven. We did get to the Bridge where this is the reason why the group wanted to come back for a 2nd time. I did not sit on the bridge because I’m pregnant and it’s too hard to get down and sit Indian style for me, so I sat at the beginning of the bridge platform in a chair. Where I could view the group sitting on the bridge. We waited until the 3am hour as the last time that’s when most of the activity started up so we wanted to try and redo it again and see if we could prove what happened. Once we all got settled and quiet in our spots, the video camera that was set up in front of me started to beep so I asked Bryan if I should check it and we found out the camera paused itself and not only did it do it once on it’s own but at 2 more times and other camera’s thru-out the time we were there did so too. But since I was close to Bryan Video camera I could restart it up again. A few times through out my area would completely feel like it dropped in temperatures, but when they would thermal scan my area it was still around 47 to 52 degree, even though I could see my breathe and I began to shiver a few times. Before the temp drops I could hear what sounded like little feet come across the bridge and then just fade away. We decided to take a break and stretch our legs out check the camera’s and have Bryan actually down below the bridge with a camera filming that’s when I felt the most activity. One we were settled and going into the 4am hour we started to harass whatever was in there....try and verbally instigate something and see if anything would happen. Someone in the group counted down to 5 and within a few minutes after that I felt this thing come across the bridge and hover over my area. The temperature felt like it dropped into the minus area for me....I began to shiver and with my winter coat on I’m huddled inside of it trying to stay warm even though we continually took temp reading at 47-52. I felt this thing I can not say if it was a spirit or what but it did not want me there. It felt dark and mean, at that time I heard what sounded like a growl in my face, I then could not take it anymore and overwhelming I began to cry not sure out of fear or what, but I had to turn my flashlight on. I was done and ready to go after that moment. I’ve never felt anything like that dark come up to me or growl at me......we did finish up in that area and gathered our stuff. I did notice when picking up the equipment the tripods were extremely cold and they were not prior to bringing them to the bridge area. All in all a pretty quiet night but interesting, I would go back and maybe even during the season when the house is open for business for fun. I’ll post what pictures I have.
Bryan Kaplan:I got to accomplish the one thing I didn't get to do last time and that was to sit on the bridge. I must say that we did not have the same activity that we had the last time we were there. One issue I kept on having was that my legs and rear-end was falling asleep and so there are a couple times in my video I find myself swaying a little to the left and right because it was putting pressure on my back to sit on the bridge like I was. I think the next time we return I will settle on standing or sitting at the end of the bridge (just off of the bridge) or on the lower portion of the bridge. Something odd that happened to my camera as well as Kelli's camera is that both of our cameras paused themselves minutes into recording. Because my video camera was put by Angela who was sitting down just off of the bridge, she was able to unpause the video camera. This happened a couple of times. The other bit of interesting information I should pass along is that towards the tailend of the time we spent on the bridge I stood on the ground near the bridge and when the bridge shook I made sure to get video of everyone who was on the bridge to assure it wasn't caused by those on the bridge. I'll be sure to put that video and any EVP I gathered as soon as I humanly can!
Hugh McLenaghan:This was a very interesting investigation. There were only a few things that happened to me on the investigation, but usually nothing does, so it's cool. The first happened when we were on the 4th floor of the building, at one point we were all in a group in the middle of the room (Large storage room, no windows, no vents). When a cool breeze past me on the left hand side. Like in my notes above, there were no windows, no vents, not even any doors. The entry to the room is via a freight elevator and we were about 50 feet away from it. The second thing was when we were on the 2nd floor, we were all sitting on a suspended bridge which is known to move on it's own. My back was against the side of the bridge which was made of a wire mesh. I felt the mesh move as if someone pushed it against my back. Noone had moved so it wasn't any of us.
Becky Ray:The main purpose of this investigation was to familiarize the investigators who were not present on the previous walk through with the building, and to try to capture the phenomena on the bridge.
One thing that seemed common throughout the night was the drop in temperature and cold breezes. There were times when everyone reported extreme cold, but none of the thermal scanners registered any changes. At first I was thinking maybe this meant it was psychosomatic, but then I realized we could see our breath! It was like being outside in the snow.
I'm still going over my video and audio. My photos all appear to be anomaly free, but I am going to post some of the bridge that we took early in the evening to show how it is hung.

Recorded at approximately 4:10am. Todd, Bryan K., and Hugh had just gotten into the elevator located on the 2nd floor. They were heading to the 3rd floor to pick up Brian D., Angela, and Becky. During this time Becky, Brian D., and Angela had been talking since they started up on the stairs from the 2nd floor to the 3rd floor, during with their conversations did not cease until after we had arrived on the 3rd floor to pick them up. Their conversations were not picked up on this recording. This EVP was recorded on Bryan's nightshot video camera. Todd and Hugh were discussing how cold it was in the building as Todd was closing the gate to the elevator prior to taking the elevator up to the 3rd floor to pick up the others.

This photo and the six that go with it are basically to show the set up of the hanging bridge that we are talking about in our investigation notes. During this investigation we conducted a thorough inspection of the actual set-up of the bridge to insure there wasn't any sort of "rigging" involved.
